Prayer Petition

For the Week of May 13th
The Children, Youth, and Married Couples Ministries

Scripture Reading:  Ephesians 5:22-6:1-4, I Corinthians 7:25-34, Psalm 146

Praise and Worship
Lord, You are God and You have made us, and not we ourselves. Lord, we thank You for every man, woman, boy, and girl in our church family. Thank You for blessing our children, youth, and married couples.  Additional Praise and Worship Scriptures: Psalm 9:1-2

Praying God’s Will
Father, we confess that our children, youth, and married couples will love You with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. We declare that the wives will submit themselves to their own husbands, as unto You, the Lord, and the husbands of our church will love their wives as Christ also loved the Church. We confess that our youth and children will be taught of the Lord so that they may have great peace and they will always acknowledge You as their Creator.  Additional Scriptures for praying God’s Will:  Mark12:29-31; Romans 12:1-13

Praying the Requests
Lord, please send willing and committed laborers to our Children, Youth, and Engaged and Married Couples Ministries. Touch the hearts of those members who do not participate in a ministry to become involved and help carry the load. Equip us for the work of ministry through Your Word. Father, bless me with all the wisdom, knowledge, and skill that I need to fulfill the purpose You have for me in ministry. 

Praying for Forgiveness
Father, forgive us for not using our gifts in ministry. Forgive me for not always participating in ministry, and when I participate, forgive me for not always serving for Your Glory. Lord, forgive me for not always praying for our children, youth, and married couples. Lord, remind us of those we need to forgive, and we will be quick to forgive.                                   

Praying for Protection
Lead them not into temptation but deliver them from the evil one.

Praise and Worship
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness, the power, and the glory. Yours is the victory and majesty. All that is in heaven and earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, Lord, and You are exalted as head over all. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.  Additional Praise and Worship Scriptures: Revelation 11:17
