Prayer Petition
For the Week of November 18th
Prayer for the Retention of Your Word and the Fullness of Your Peace
Scriptural Prayer: John 14:25-27
25 “All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Praise and Worship
Holy and Gracious God, we praise You for Your teachings and the gift of Your Holy Spirit. You are our Counselor and Guide, the bringer of all truth. Your peace surpasses all understanding and guards our hearts in Christ Jesus.
Praying God’s Will
Almighty Father, we embrace Your will as Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to be with us forever. We are thankful that You have not left us as orphans in this world but have given us Your Spirit of truth to dwell within us.
Praying the Request
Lord Jesus, grant us the retention of Your word and the fullness of Your peace. In the turmoil of our times, let Your peace rule in our hearts and minds, keeping us from fear and anxiety. May the Holy Spirit teach us all things and remind us of everything You have said to us.
Praying for Forgiveness
Forgiving God, we repent for the moments we have allowed our hearts to be troubled or afraid. Forgive us for not always trusting in the power and presence of Your Holy Spirit. Help us to extend the grace You have given us to others in our lives.
Praying for Protection
Protect us, O Lord, from the unrest of the world. May Your peace that passes understanding be a shield around our hearts. Guide us away from fear and towards Your everlasting peace.
Praise and Worship
We worship You, Prince of Peace, for the peace You provide is unlike anything the world can give. We rest in the assurance that You are always with us through the Holy Spirit. We lift our hearts in gratitude and adoration in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Church of the Week
We are praying for the Lily of the Valley Christian Center, Bishop Anthony Willis, Pastor.
