Prayer Petition

For the Week of December 16th
Our Family Members, Friends, Co-workers, and Enemies
Who Are Backsliders and Unbelievers

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 104, John 3:1-21

Praise and Worship
O Lord, our God, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth.  You have set Your Glory above the heavens. Thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ.  You are the One who forgives all our sins, heals us from diseases, redeems our lives from destruction, and crowns us with tender mercies.  We thank You, Lord, for Your tender mercies and unfailing love toward our family members, friends, co-workers, and enemies who are backsliders and unbelievers. You are very great. Additional Praise and Worship Scriptures:  Psalm 113:1-6

Praying God’s Will
Father, it is Your desire that all men be saved and come to know the truth. We confess that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.  He is the only door by which man is saved.  We declare that when our unsaved family members, friends, and enemies confess with their mouths the Lord Jesus and believe in their hearts that You raised Jesus from the dead, they will be saved.  Father, we declare that they will know the truth, and the truth will set them free.  As for me, I confess my sins. Additional Scriptures for praying God’s Will:  Ephesians 2:19-22

Praying the Requests
I ask You to save my unsaved family members, friends, co-workers, and enemies.  Surround them with the counsel of the godly so that they may be washed in the water of Your Word, putting away the old man and putting on the new.  Father, as Your Word goes forth, please touch the hearts of the unsaved to receive it.

Praying for Forgiveness
Father, forgive the unsaved and backsliders for disobedience, hatred, rebellion, murder, idolatry, homosexuality, greed, racism, adultery, fornication, injustice, violence, and rejection of Your Gospel.  Forgive me for being timid and reserved about sharing the Gospel.  Lord, remind all of us of those persons we need to forgive, and please help us to forgive.

Praying for Protection
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Praise and Worship
Holy, Holy, Holy, are You, the Lord God Almighty.  You are worthy to receive glory, honor, and power.  To You, the blessed and only potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light.  To You be honor and everlasting power.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!  Additional Praise and Worship Scriptures:  Isaiah 37:16
